LENGTH AND ALTITUDE: 1110 km / cca 13 000m elevation or 810 km / 10 500 m
TERRAIN CLASSIFICATION: approx. 50% asphalted forest roads and cycle paths, 30 % roads of lower classes, 1 % second class roads , 17% paved forest gravel roads, approx. 2% single trails and field road sections, rather for MTB.
RECOMMENDED BIKE: Although most of the route will lead on aspahlt, we recommend gravel bike with tires at least 35mm+, preferably 38m+

RACZ26 route will start with pretty tough first section in Český Les and Šumava, which will include long and steep climbs to Čerchov, pass Pod Polomem and to highest point under hill Stráž, at 1260m. After reaching it start long gradual descent along Vltava river to Český Krumlov.
First restful and fast section comes in Třeboňsko area, where you will spend over 150 km in mostly flat area around its ponds.
A bit harder is a middle section befween 600.-800.km in Česká Kanada, Highlands and Podyjí area, which has rather „wavy“ profile. Without any extra long and steep climbs, but still with (very few) short sections where even good mountaineers should decide to push your bike.
4th section in South Moravia will serve as a reward for all the effort during first 800 km. Except crossiing Pálava hills, you will mostly stay in altitude around 200m, hit the lowest point )150m) at confluence of Dyje and Morava.
And then comes our traditional „final push“ to Velká Javořina (970m), iconic peak of Bílé Karpaty mountains. This time it is 6km/500m hill mostly on gravel roads, which is anyway completely rideable even with 1100km in legs.
Total elevation will be about 13,000m (cca 11 500m according to Komoot, if we count each individual sections).
