RACE ACROSS CZECHIA is cca 1150km bikepacking challenge across Czech Republic, with a fixed route for gravel bikes.
RACZ25 will start from Cheb and its route will lead through areas Slavkovský les, Karlovy Vary, Doupovsko, Křivoklátsko, historical center of Prague, Elbe valley, Bohemian Paradise, Hradec Králové, foothills of Orlice mountains, Králický Sněžník, Litovelsko, Sovinecko, Oderské vrchy, Ostrava and Beskydy, where you will also visit the easternmost point of the Czech Republic and CZ/SK/PL tri-border in Hrčava.
As a finish line we chose and managed picturesque mountain hut Gírová.
Fourth edition of RACZ will have a slightly lower elevation and difficulty than RACZ24, but we still promise a good portion of adventure and intense experiences!
DATE, PLACES OF START AND FINISH
START: Wednesday 2 July 2025, at 8.00 a.m. from Cheb
FINISH: Gírová mountain hut (near Mosty u Jablunkova, Beskydy)
LIMIT FOR PERSONAL WELCOME IN FINISH: main organizer will wait at finish line until Monday 7th July 22.00, which makes a limit 134 hours. Reaching finish line after this limit does not mean that you will be removed from the List of Finishers, only that you won´t be greeted personally. Riders who will arrive at finish line after the limit, will have to send GPS trackers to the organizer at their expenses by post.
BACKGROUND BEFORE START
Pre-start facilities for RACZ25 participants will be provided at the Stein resort, on the outskirts of Cheb, approximately 5km from the start.
RACZ25 participants can use the collective reservation of 50 beds for overnight stays before the start, dinner and breakfast will be available.

PRESENTATION, PRE-START MEETING
The presentation with the collection of GPS trackers and starting numbers will take place on Tuesday, July 1st from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM or on Wednesday, 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM.
Pre-start meeting with the introduction of the route, warning of the main pitfalls and organizational matters will start at 9:00 PM.
THE ROUTE
LENGTH AND ALTITUDE: 1150 km / cca 13,000m elevation
TERRAIN CLASSIFICATION: approx. 50% roads of lower classes, 30% asphalted forest roads and cycle paths, approx. 18% paved forest roads, approx. 1-2% sections more for MTB.
RECOMMENDED BIKE: Although most of the route will lead on aspahlt, we recommend gravel bike with tires at least 36mm+, preferably 40mm+

RESTPOINTS
During a long 1150 km route we will again organize 3 RestPoints, which will help you to break it up and make RACZ25 more pleasant journey. On RPs riders will get a stamp to their brevet cards, can take some foot, meet other competitors and co-organizers, and also spend the night (on RP2 and RP3).

GPS TRACKING
RACZ riders will be equipped with GPS trackers, thanks to which it will be possible to follow the course of our event on Internet, via tracking service FollowMe.

ENTRY FEE
The entry fee for participation in RACZ25 is 150 EUR / 3500 CZK
Price of entry fee includes: gpx files with The Route, rental of a GPS tracker, vouchers for refreshments at RestPoints and at the finish ‚with a total value of 10 EUR / 250 CZK), transport of the package from start to finish, start number, stickers, brevet card, medal, diploma, small snacks at RestPoints and refreshment station on 85.km, Itinerary of The Route in Excel
+ 20 EUR / 500 CZK discount on entry fee of one of other two bigger events of UltraBikers Cup:
a) Moravia Gravel 2025 (26/09/2025, website)
b) UB30: Six Countries Challenge (21/08/2025, website)
Price of entry fee does not include: accommodation and food in Cheb, accommodation at RestPoints and at finish, spare parts at the RP, merchandising stuff.

The deposit for GPS tracker and the costs of accommodation and food in Cheb and on RP1 will be due about a week before the start.
CANCELLATION FEES
After payment of the entry fee and subsequent withdrawing from event until 31.3.2025, the entry fee is no longer refundable, but it is possible to transfer it once to any other event of UltraBikers Cup or RACZ26, without a cancellation fee.
If you cancel between 1 April and 14 June 2025, the entry fee is non-refundable, it is possible to have it transferred to another event of the UltraBikers Cup or RACZ26, but there is already a cancellation fee of 500 CZK / 20 EUR
In case of cancellation after 15.6.2025, the cancellation fee is CZK 1,000 / EUR 60
The paid entry fee can be transferred to another person at any time, without a cancellation fee.
