BACKGROUND AND PROGRAM BEFORE THE START
Pre-start meeting of Riders and the evening part of presentation will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Chodovar brewery (restaurant Stará Sladovna), in Chodová Planá. More info here.
Program:
12:00-13:00 – lunch in Chodovar
14:00 – start of 40km Social Ride, with stop in Mariánské Lázně (more info below)
17:30 – start of presentation and pick-up of GPS trackers
18:00 – possibility of 50min guided tour of the brewery (10 EUR / 250 CZK, min 20 people)
19:00-21:00 – dinner
19:45 – diashow by Martin Souček: Race Across America and Domestici charity project presentation
21:15 – RACZ26 pre-start meeting
22:00 – informal gathering
23:00 – limit for evening pick-up of GPS trackers
MORNING PRESENTATION
Second part of presentation and GPS tracker pick-up will take place on Thursday morning
from 6:45 to 7:20 in Chodovar
or from 7:30-7:45 on the square in Planá, in the RACZ26 start area.
BIKE STORAGE
Participants can store their bikes overnight on Wednesday in the hall of the cultural center in Chodová Planá, right across from the brewery.
HANDING OVER PACKAGES TO THE FINISH
Packages with personal belongings to finish can be handed over to RACZ26 organizer’s car on Thursday:
6:45-7:20 in Chodovar
7:30-7:45 on the square in Planá
SOCIAL RIDE
After great feedback from last year´s edition, we will be again organize optional Social Ride, where you will be able to meet other Riders, explore area of czech Wild West and test your legs and equipment during a day before start.
You can look forward to an approximately 40km/450m route to beautiful czech spa town Mariánské Lázně, where we will make a stop at the iconic Singing Fountain, take some icecream and taste superb beer in pub Pod Tribunou. Expected return around 17:00.
PRE-START ACCOMMODATION
For RACZ26 Riders we have booked dozens of bed for overnight stay before start, from Wednesday 8.7. to Thursday. We can arrange also booking for a previous night.
Below listed numbers of beds are booked exclusively for RACZ26 Riders, if you will come with a family or companions, please find other accommodation elsewhere.
1) HOTEL U SLÁDKA
Location (here): Chodová Planá – area of pre-start background, 4km from RACZ26 start,
Booked rooms: 28x 2-bed room (mostly separate beds, few with doublebed)
Price: 1250 CZK/50 EUR, including breakfast at 7.00 and access to hotel´s wellness

Booked rooms: 4x 2-bed room (2x separate beds, 2x double-bed)

Location (here): Planá – 4km from the pre-start area, 200m from RACZ26 start,

Location here: Zadní Chodov – 6km from the pre-start area, 7km from RACZ26 start
We can take few riders by cars of our teammates.

Price: 600 CZK / 12 EUR, without breakfast
DAY 1 REFRESHMENT STATION – 112.km

Food: Possibility to pre-order a hot meal or soup (not included in entry fee)
Possibility to refill water, isotonic drink, take small snacks for next journey (bars, bananas, melons.. as a part of entry fee).

from here direct trains to Brno. In direction to Prague with 1-2 transfers.
ORGANIZATION FORM
To make the organization as easy as possible for us, we would like to ask registered Riders to fill out a „Form for Facilitating Organization“, through which you can choose the type of accommodation, roommate, order food in Chodovar, accommodation at RPs etc.
